OUR PURPOSE
Hospice of Metropolitan Erie is a special concept of care designed to provide comfort and support to patients and their families when a life limiting illness no longer responds to cure oriented treatments. Hospice of Metropolitan Erie is one of Pennsylvania's first hospice organizations, founded by a concerned and capable group of volunteers.

We were incorporated in 1980, and have been run by Erie area residents as an independent non-profit charitable organization for decades. We are truly a community based hospice provider at every level.

We understand that every individual in our care has a unique story and we are honored to have you place your trust in us.

GETTING YOU ANSWERS
We offer a small yet significant selection of books to aid in the process of end of life care. Ranging from grief therapy to surviving a loss and introducing death to children, the library is always opened to better understanding the process of losing a loved one.
BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT
A GUIDE TO GRIEF
We follow-up on the families who are suffering from grief and provide inspirational bereavement letters as well as offer counseling because we understand the difficulties that lie ahead; however, with our continued support, we hope to make this transitional process feasible.
